What is Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan?
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a clear time frame for universal elementary education, a response to the demand for quality basic education all over the country. It is an attempt to provide human capabilities to all the children through provision of community owned quality education in a mission mode. It is also considered an effort at effectively involving the Panchayat Raj, Constitution, School Management committees, Village and Urban slum level education committees, parents Teachers Associations. Moreover Teachers Association and other grass root level structures in the management of elementary schools. It is a partnership between the Central, State and Local Government and an opportunity for States to develop their own vision of elementary education.
Aims and Objectives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan
Inclusive Education :-There are total of 96 students which come under CWSN. They are studying in normal classes but special resource teachers are recruited by SSA which occasionally visit to school and provide guidance to the teachers.! Special Training Centre is running in our school under SSA.
The pass percentage of school for the session 2012-2013 was :
a) Class VIIIth – 100%
b) Class Xth – 100%
The school building itself acts as learning-aids as BALA stand for Building As Learning Aids
i) Well decorated class-rooms with Alphabets, Stories, Poems, Solar-System etc. painted on the walls.
ii) Iron grills of the fencing park have been converted into Alphabets numbers.
1. Decorated Classroom
Library is well-equipped with the latest books available on all subjects like curriculum books of all classes, Great personalities, Defense related issues and various other relevant topics. Our schools have a library consisting of 3000 reference books. The library is located on the ground floor of our school. Proper table has been provided to facilitate students for reading.
School Computer Lab
The computer lab is fully equipped with computers and their accessories. This lab is fully maintained and is located at the ground floor right next to the Headmistress room. Computer instructor takes care of the lab. TFT’s are installed in labs which consume less power & take less storage space.
School Facilities :-The school has one building which are housed in a Government building. It has got 14 classrooms for instructional purposes. All the classrooms are in good condition. It has 3 other rooms for student’s activities.
